my opinion on the whole jared leto thing is that there are quite a few trans women who would have been fucking fantastic in that role and the casting people brushed that off to hire a cis man instead and im sorry but that’s just like not cool??? im not good at articulating my thoughts and other people have said this better but as a non-binary person it just feels really wrong to have someone who’s cis play someone who’s trans. him being a good actor or whatever isn’t really important because there are wonderful trans women actors as well. i don’t completely blame him tbh but i do blame whoever decided to turn down actual trans women for a cis dude.
